How We Help
Each year in the United States, there are tens of thousands of children who are diagnosed with cancer, as well as other life changing illnesses. What’s more is that our local community of the greater Lake Wylie area is not immune—local families struggle day in and day out when dealing with a child’s illness. And all areas of these families’ lives are impacted when this tragedy strikes; physically, spiritually, financially, and emotionally.
Getting involved in such an important cause can truly bring tears to your eyes and tug at your heartstrings. At LWCC, we personally believe that helping area families should be uplifting, fulfilling, and fun! We are dedicated to helping local children and their loved ones by raising money and in-kind donations while also heightening awareness and making a difference.

- Food
- Clothing
- Transportation
- Hospital, Doctor, or Medical Bills
- General or Special Household Expenses
How is LWCC Introduced to Eligible Children?
We depend on collaboration with the community—that means we need to hear from you! LWCC invites community members, medical professionals, clergy, business leaders, parents, legal guardians, family members, neighbors, and friends who are in possession of detailed knowledge regarding a child who needs help to contact us and fill out our Nomination Form. Our Board of Directors considers and evaluates all nominees to determine eligibility.
