Why Your Support Means so Much

The Lake Wylie Children’s Charity has evolved into a year-round charity that support local children and their families who are fighting childhood cancer or some other medical issue that is draining the family’s financial resources.

These circumstances strain their ability to “make ends meet” and often threaten their ability to continue as a family unit. Operating under the name of LAKE WYLIE CHILDREN’S CHARITY, a group of unpaid volunteers from the community work tirelessly throughout the year to relieve some of a family’s financial struggles.

The beginnings of the charity started in 2003, when a handful of local volunteers pulled together to raise money through a free concert for one of our own kids. Since then, we have grown to more than 100 volunteers, numerous sponsors and hundreds of supporters, allowing us to help more children in the Lake Wylie area.

Supporters and volunteers celebrate its 20th year of Benefit and other year-round events have raised in excess of $1.5 million to help local families.

The families are deeply touched by your support and generosity and express their heartfelt gratitude for caring about them and their plights.

Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey.

Sincerely,
